He made it home

Dear Friends,

There are moments in our work that do not show up in reports, but they stay with you. For a long time.

During a recent habitability check, we received a photo from a family’s home. A hospital bed filled most of a small, dim room, surrounded by medications, water bottles, and the everyday items needed to care for someone at the end of life.

The father in the household is now receiving hospice care at home.

Just weeks earlier, the family was on the verge of eviction. Without support, he likely would have remained in the hospital. Instead, through family stability assistance, they were able to stay housed and bring him home to be with his family during his final days.

This is what stable housing makes possible. Not just shelter, but dignity, presence, and the ability to be together when it matters most.

At ECHOS, we walk alongside families in moments like these. With continued support, more families can remain safely housed and face life’s hardest transitions at home.

Thank you for your continued support.
